2006 - Present

Ian England and Johnny F formed Blunt in September 2006 in Los Angeles with the main aim of re-introducing punks of all ages to long forgotten, and even rarely played, proper English Street Punk.

Johnny got on the blower and secured the services of drummer Ringo and Ian bumped into punk rock filmmaker Skid Mark at a UK Subs gig in LA, both were invited to a rehearsal in Van Nuys, California.

In January 2007 a mini-tour of California and Nevada was played along with The Negatives from Bradford UK, and The Objex from Las Vegas as well as some other local Los Angeles bands.

Blunt's first live performance was at the Fat Liver Tavern in Lomita, CA, and other venues played were in Downtown Los Angeles at The Airliner and at The Cocaine, along with The Brokeass Cantina and Khourys in Long Beach, and Las Vegas's famous Double Down Saloon.

Blunt receive great feedback from punks and skins of all ages, and have built an ever increasing fanbase in the Long Beach and LA areas, and are now gaining recognition in the UK.

Although early in 2008 Skid Mark found it increasingly difficult to find time to rehearse and play with the band due to his work committments, a search went out for a new guitarist.

The Mad Brit was found and fitted the bill perfectly and was invited to join the band.

With the new line-up and after a couple of more successful gigs in Hermosa Beach & Long Beach, Ian decided to return to the UK.

The band are for the time being, a three piece, rehearsing and looking to gig again in the Los Angeles area, and Ian is looking to carry on the name of 'Blunt' in the UK.
